The best way to earn bigger amounts of gold is through higher level characters loot that contains money will be an amount that is scaled to your character level. On your way to becoming higher level, the best way to earn money is by doing every sidequest, especially the Chanter's Board quests which generally give you 2gold each. Sometimes you can earn more money from a quest if you complete it in a certain way, one example being the quest in The Pearl, Denerim, where you're being asked by a captain on the marketplace to get rid of a bunch of mercenaries.
If you just started the game, say you're at Lothering, the best means of earning quick early game money is going to Denerim and completing as many sidequests as you can, before you progress the story any further. This has other drawbacks however, such as getting your additional party members at a higher level than you would when progressing the story first. Top Voted Answer. I was pretty surprised when it worked, but it does. You do have to be very very fast with the button pressing, almost simultaneously hitting them. I have to use two fingers to do it. The intsructions are like he or she says, just move one item to your junk list, and when you sell it youll notice 2 options for the junk list, sell all and sell [1 item] if you hit sell all then sell 1 fast enough, youll sell the piece twice, and then before you close out you have to do it now, or youll lose the item buy it back at the price you sold it for well, half the price since you sold it twice.
You cant multiply items this way, and this makes getting money so easy that it actually takes away from the challenge of the game. Once you have bought either one of the supplies, go to the "Allied Supply Crates" and select the option for the Dalish and hand over the supplies. I have yet to find a guide anyone has made on steam that truly does exactly this.
It is even more funny to me that a person that made a guide myself about using a way to get infinite xp through the use of infinite gold. Despite making a guide like this, I actually seek intense challenge in the games I play. I'll purposely make the game more difficult on myself to achieve this as well if I must. I find default Dragon Age: Origins to be too easy for me, even on nightmare difficulty. Crazy huh? So I thought to myself ways to make it more challenging, hence the creation of Beyond Nightmare Difficulty Guide.
I never thought that I would possibly be a part of someone who helps make a guide on how to make the game even harder! ZDuke17 [author] 2 Sep, pm. Yoldunpeyt Vulhaaltuz: Your absolutely correct on that one bud. I always find myself going back to starting a new character. It is definitely a game with true replay value. The title speaks for itself, it covers various ways to increase the difficulty in-game. Those Dragon Age: Origins veterans like me, will defintely find it to be a good read.
Plus, in the guide, I will be adding in thoughts, character builds for difficulty, order of quests for max difficulty, settings from the things mentioned in the guide, mod choices, and playstyle from anyone who comments on it with usernames into the guide as well.
This will be a guide that we all can pitch in and help improve. To ensure all helpful information about improving the difficutly and promote complex strategic gameplay in the game. Damn right, 2 years later! You'll be begging to come back after 5 hours ZDuke17 [author] 7 Jun, pm.

It's part of the main story line and pretty easily spotted. Posted on 17 November 09 at I decided to check this spot out again as I passed near Redcliffe doing some quests to check something out and sure enough my thoughts were correct. As you progress in the game, the items you get from this NPC go up in tier. Some of these crystals are worth around 3 gold each. With spaces in your backpack, you can stock up on a LOT of these before you sell them to the blacksmith at the bottom of the hill.
I'm nearing the end of the game and the most gold I've had at one time was like 80 gold lol. I'm still running around in a lot of the gear I started with, too. So I think Ima treat myself to at least one of the high-tier items that can be bought at various vendors. If anyone needs any further info on how this works, let me know.
But all you need to know is really in the link Furious Gunman posted. Just come back later in the game well after the event in this village and you'll see higher tiered crystals. I went to Orzammar right after Redcliffe missions during one run through and I was only lvl 8 or 9 and I came out with a ton of money. In a different run through the game Orzammar was my last stop before the final onslaught and my character was nearly maxed out in level, and when I was all done with paragon of her kind I had like g. I haven't gotten anything but crystals, but they can get you up to 3 gold a piece depending on how good they are. Everytime you walk out and back into the tavern she will replenish her stock. The other way I found to gold farm and get some experience as well is in the beginning of the game in Lothering. You have to do this before you go to any of the other major locations or Lothering you will not be able to go back to Lothering ever again. You can do the two DLC adventures but not any of the major story missions.
I found a bug and it may be isolated to certain builds or versions of the game, but there is a woman across the bridge in Lothering. She will ask if you know how to build traps for this to work your main character must have at least one skill level in trap making.
She will also tell you if that the tavern owner is using traps, buying them all up, and poisoning them if fact he gives you a side quest to make poison for his traps. The fun thing is that this is a minor side quest and it gives you 50 silver and some experience. After you finish at least in my experience the quest doesn't close you can keep giving her traps for every 3 spring traps the easiest and cheapest trap to build you get some XP and 50 silver.
The intsructions are like he but id rather get Gold one item to your junk in 3 hours Some people it youll notice 2 options for the junk list, sell time as an adequate investment if you hit sell all then sell 1 fast enough, and then before you close out you have to do it now, or youll lose at the price you sold it for well, half the price since you sold it.
